Top 5 Spring Trends I'm Looking Forward To
Plus 2 ATX Vendors to Get Your Spring On With
This past Monday marked the beginning of spring & with each new changing season comes the hot wedding trends to look for.
I'll admit, I'd take a dark & moody palette over a bright & sunny one (*hiss*, the light, it burns). But, hey, that doesn't mean I don't have opinions about what is probably going to be flooding the blogosphere/Pinterest this season.
Because the one thing that doesn't change each season is the fact that I'm never short on opinions.
Dudes in white
Idk about you, but I’m ready to see more dudes in white suits & jackets. There is something so chic about a dude who can pull off white & ~*not*~ look like John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever. Move over, ladies, white isn't just for you anymore.
Always a proponent for a bold lip, tis the season for bright pink. If you’re feeling extra bold, why not try a sea green or lavender?
Green, green, green
This years Pantone Colour of the Year is… well, Greenery. Greenery has been on the rise in the floral industry because it tends to be less expensive than blooms. Monstera leaves are especially hot right now. I would love to see fresh spring blooms paired with greenery prints.
Bye bye, boring blush peonies & pink roses!
This season I'm seeing more & more couples taking advantage of our gorgeous Texas wildflowers. I know I would love to make elopement florals using just gathered wildflowers.
Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower center
Speaking of wildflowers, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is a favorite around these parts for weddings & engagement photos. If you are a flower lover, but also a conservationist, this is a great place to say "I do."
Birch & Brass
This vintage rental company has done all the work for you & curated the perfect lounge areas. They have a wide selection of vintage items to choose from including seating, dinnerware, large & small scale decor, linens, & lighting.
Happy Spring, everyone. Now, get outside!
