We Did: Shaun & Lindsey
Like many couples, Lindsey & I started our wedding planning journey on a completely different path than where we finally landed.
We started out planning a traditional wedding. You know what I'm talking about: ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, dancing; booze, food, bad dance moves.
The standard formula.
That lasted about a month before the planning became dizzying & made me want to throw up every time someone said the word "wedding."
We threw our hands in the air until about three months before the wedding.
We seriously considered a fancy elopement.
But we finally settled on an intimate wedding in the park followed by a boozy brunch reception at Lamberts Downtown Barbecue.
Well, hurricane Patricia had other ideas & forced our ceremony into Lamberts.
It didn't matter, though.
We got married in front of twenty-four of our nearest & dearest & it was magical.
We were drowning in all of the "good luck" rain & eight months later -- so far, so great.
